With over 35 years experience in the criminal justice system, the team at Marsh Blom Lawyers has expert knowledge in both criminal and traffic law. Our firm is focused on you, the client, and we work hard to gain the best outcome for your case.
As former police prosecutors, John Marsh and Joshua Blom spent years investigating and prosecuting matters for the NSW Police Force. This experience prior to establishing ‘Marsh Blom Lawyers’ means we know how the police and prosecution operate. We know their policies and procedures, the limitations they face, and the way in which they approach a matter.
We offer fixed fees wherever possible so you know what your legal costs will be upfront – and there are no surprises.
John has over 17 years experience working in the criminal justice system. He joined the NSW Police in 2000 and worked all over Sydney as a general duties officer before studying law and becoming a police prosecutor.
For the past five years John has prosecuted all types of matters in courts across Sydney as well as regularly working in regional areas of NSW. He has also provided legal advice to police and investigators on a broad range of offences.
Having spent years prosecuting matters before turning to defence work, John is able to quickly assess the strengths and weaknesses of any charges and provide you with fast, appropriate and honest advice.
Joshua joined the NSW Police in 2002 and shortly after became a detective working in crime squads investigating extremely serious offences. After years of investigative work, Joshua became a prosecutor and started studying law at the same time.
His prosecution experience saw him working in specialist legal advice units in Sydney, right through to managing regional prosecution offices all around NSW. While most lawyers have one hearing per day, Joshua often had to prosecute multiple matters every day.
This invaluable experience means Joshua not only knows both sides of criminal law very well, but he is able to work quickly to achieve the best result for you. If there are any weaknesses or gaps in the prosecution case, Joshua will find it.
Jeremy graduated with a degree in law and commerce before going on to hold a position with Legal Aid for a number of years, working in the area of criminal law.
His time at Legal Aid meant that he learned to work in a fast paced environment with minimal supervision and resources.
Since coming to Marsh Blom Lawyers, Jeremy has developed an interest in getting our clients back on the road. Whether it’s a licence appeal or a drink driving matter – if there is a way that you could possibly get your licence back, Jeremy would know about it.
